Trail & Sprockets riding
This event will have something for all ages and abilities, with dedicated riding opportunities for both our Sprockets and Trail riders.
🏁 Sprockets
Our youngest riders will have their own dedicated Sprocket track, designed specifically to provide a safe, fun and confidence-building riding experience.
The Sprocket course will be a scaled-down version of the cross-country experience, with flowing sections, fun challenges and plenty of opportunities for riders to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
-
Riding commences approximately 9:00AM, groups will run in approximately 30–60-minute blocks throughout the day.
-
Sprocket parents to please sign-on at registration in the morning before heading down to the sprocket area with the group.
🏁 Trail Riders
Trail riders will get the chance to experience the excitement of the Poppo Pursuit cross-country course with a dedicated Trail session.
Subject to the Clerk of Course (CoC) decision on the day and available time, Trail riders are planned to run on the main cross-country course following the completion of each competitive class lap. This provides a unique opportunity to experience the full race track and enjoy the same terrain tackled by championship competitors.
If timing or event conditions do not allow Trail riders onto the main course, Trail sessions will run back-to-back with Sprockets in 30-minute riding blocks on the specially designed scaled-down cross-country loop.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to enjoy a relaxed ride with family and friends, Poppo has a place for everyone.
Please note: Final Trail riding arrangements will be confirmed on the day by the Clerk of Course based on event timing, conditions and safety considerations.
